About FAIR PBK Inspector
Making PBK models interoperable and reusable
Key Features
This tool assists in creating interoperable and reusable PBK models following the FAIR PBK Standard. It contains features for:
Semantic annotation
Annotate model components with semantic ontology terms.
Annotation of units
Annotate and validate units across model elements.
Model validation
Validate models against the FAIR PBK standard.
Model visualisation
Generate model diagrams for documentation.
Export templates
Export templates for annotation and parametrisation.
FAIR PBK Standard
The FAIR PBK Standard is an open exchange standard for representing physiologically based kinetic (PBK) models. It combines the use of the Systems Biology Markup Language (SBML) with specific guidelines for annotation of units and model elements, leveraging domain-specific ontologies such as PBPKO, ChEBI, and the NCBI Taxonomy. With this, it ensures (semantic) consistency and enables interoperability, supporting the consistent reuse of models across software platforms, modeling environments, and application domains.
